A crowd of about forty filled the room to hear Joanne Bamberger read excerpts from her book and to discuss all things related. The book is actually a compilation of essays from women with a wide variety of views about Hillary Clinton and a variety of topics such as: “Hillary the Hawk?”, “FLOTUS, SCOTUS, POTUS, SCHMOTUS”, “Hillary’s Age of Shorthand Sexism”, “A Yankee in a Southern Belle’s Court”, “I Don’t Need Hillary Clinton to Be Perfect”, “A Crone of My Own: Hillary Clinton and the Gen X Feminist Experience” and perhaps my favorite title anyway, “Worshipping the Semiotic Brilliance of Hillary’s Pantsuits”.
The discussion between readings was lively exploring our own feelings about Hillary all the way to how she will challenge a Donald Trump in November if both win their nominations.
Following the discussion, Joanne graciously autographed twenty-six books that were purchased at the event. The nominal entrance fee and the tiny bit profited from the book made this a successful small scale fundraiser for NDTDW.
