Emmas is a native Texan and joined TDW in 2004. She served on several Tarrant County chapter committees: membership, audit, scholarship as well as liaison to the state chapter. In 2010 she was appointed as credentials committee chair and is currently chair of the rules committee for the National Federation of Democratic Women.
Emma volunteers weekly in the local Tarrant County Democratic Party office and has been a precinct chair for several years. Last year she worked the ballot board for Tarrant County Elections Administration office. She has been a national delegate from her Senate district three times.
